Stora Ekenäset is beautifully situated on an 80,000 square meter island in Frisjön south of Borås.

At Stora Ekenäset, there is a grass-covered tent site for guests who want to set up their tent for a longer or shorter time. There are also a number of trees here so you can get shade on hot days.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept caravans or mobile homes.

The campsite has its own well with fresh drinking water.
The club house has everything you need for cooking, including a gas stove (there is no electricity). In addition, there is china and other equipment that may be needed. There is also room to eat, or to just hang out at the open-air meal in bad weather.

Our cabins consist of simple rooms with farmhouse beds. The cabins have mattresses and pillows (guests bring their own bed linen). The rooms are designed as sleeping rooms and have no other equipment. In the clubhouse there is all the equipment needed for cooking on a gas stove as well as crockery etc. There is also room to eat or just hang out in bad weather. There are also plenty of substantial tables with seating outside in the area.

Alphyddan has one four-bed room and one two-bed room with a shared balcony in front. The cabin is located high on the site with a view of the sun and the lake.

The sauna room It also contains four beds and is located in the same building as our much appreciated sauna. There is also a large balcony that is accessible to everyone and is used a lot on both rainy and hot days.

The 6 and 2 bed rooms are housed in the same cottage and are located a little to the side of the sauna but still with a view of the lake. There is also a small balcony here. The 2-bed room is the one that does not have a bunk bed.

Directions to Stora Ekenäset:

From Borås drive Riksväg 27 towards Karlskrona. After about: 12 km. take off towards Aplared and then towards Roasjö after about 7-8 km on a long straight stretch over a marsh, you will see a sign for a single road to the right "Arnäsholm 1" Follow this over a couple of small bridges and turn right after these. You will then arrive at a car park by a chapel. Near the lake there is parking for our guests as well as our boat jetty.

It is very important that you contact us before you arrive the first time, otherwise you will have no one to pick you up at the pier and cannot contact us.
